Winter Hurdle Clinic

Service Description

Welcome to this years, West Hurdle Training Winter Clinic! This 3 1/2 hour clinic will help athletes gain in-depth tools on sprinting, hurdling, block work, and more. Our goal is for the athletes to gain drills, feedback, and advice to take with them into the indoor track season. We have multiple high level hurdle coaches that will be there to instruct athletes. Some of the accomplishments of the coaching staff range from; competing in college, running at thy Olympic Trials, and training a U20 national champion and national champion in India! We take pride in making this clinic the best we can for all levels of hurdlers. Grades 9-12 are invited to come and learn more about hurdles. Cost includes clinic, T-shirt, and snacks. Coach Jamie West – Coach West has been a track and field coach for almost 20 years. Coach West hurdled at Davis High School and went on to hurdle at Weber State University. She has been a head coach at both Davis and Morgan High Schools and has been an assistant hurdle coach at Davis, Morgan, and now Layton High Schools. In high school and college, she made it onto multiple all time lists as well as set Davis High’s school record in the 100m, 55m, and 60m hurdles. She was a 2-time state champion in the 100m hurdles. Coach West has enjoyed coaching hurdlers from all over the State as well as some hurdlers in other states and internationally. She coached India’s 2021 U23 National Champion and worked with this year’s USA’s U20 400m men’s Champion and Nike Nationals Champion! In Utah, she has coached 8 State Record holders; 2 in the 60m hurdles, 1 in the 55m hurdles, 1 in the 110 hurdles, 2 in the 300m hurdles, and 2 in the 100h. She has also coached 18 individual state champions in Utah, 3 out of state, State Champions, and over 80 state placers in the hurdles (placed top 6). She was asked to speak on the National Hurdle Summit in 2022. Coach West loves to teach youth and push them to their best achievements. She absolutely loves all things hurdles!!

Cancellation Policy

There is no refund if you miss a session unless due to family emergency or illness. The reason is it takes a spot from another athlete that might like to attend.
